About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. This position aims to support the development and validation of advanced optical imaging systems, contributing to cutting-edge research in imaging technologies. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary research environment, fostering technical and analytical skills crucial for future academic and professional pursuits.

  • Entry-level position for undergraduate student's background in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Biology
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • Must be a UND student
  • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Dr. Bo Liang’s research team, contributing to specific tasks aligned with the overall project objectives
  • Assist in the design and construction of a microscope system, working with team members to ensure functionality and accuracy.
  • Perform data analysis using appropriate software tools to accurately interpret imaging data.
  • Conduct validation experiments to assess the optical imaging system’s performance, and document findings to support project development
