About The Position

Amgen is hiring an undergraduate intern for its R&D Knowledge Management team for Summer 2027. The approximately 12-week internship combines a project assignment with experiential learning. The intern will help connect people and insights across Amgen’s R&D ecosystem, supporting more than 10,000 scientists and clinicians in finding knowledge they need to focus on patients. The project focus will be selected with the team based on the intern’s interests and team priorities, and may involve an AI assistant or a broader Knowledge Management solution. Potential project areas include co-designing, prototyping, and testing AI assistants; building knowledge foundations and infrastructure; improving Knowledge Management tools through user research and usability feedback; creating stories, multimedia, and knowledge assets using AI tools; and helping teams adopt new ways to learn and share knowledge. The intern will collaborate with global partners across R&D, digital, and learning teams, take part in learning and networking activities, and present project outcomes, including at an intern poster session and final presentation. Specific scope and tasks may vary based on the intern’s interests and team priorities.
