About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer observes and reports activities and incidents at assigned client sites, helping protect client property and personnel. The officer makes periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserves order, and may enforce site regulations and directives relating to personnel, visitors, and premises. This floater role requires travel to numerous sites and has no set shifts or schedule. The work requires standing for most of the workday.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A 5–7-year U.S. work history may be required.
• Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
• Complete reports documenting observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures.
• Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
