This role is for an Unarmed Security Officer in Dayton, NJ.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid NJ security license/registration
1-3 years of professional experience preferred
Security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience highly desired
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write clear and concise reports
Professional demeanor and good judgment
Reliable transportation or access to public transportation
Must successfully complete required background screening and drug/alcohol testing, where applicable

Responsibilities

Providing security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting.
Monitoring and reporting all activity.
Conducting foot patrols and/or vehicular patrols.
Reporting suspicious activities and suspicious persons.
Writing detailed narrative reports.
Maintaining daily activity reports (DAR’s).
Enforcing post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Responding to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
Conduct foot and/or vehicular patrols as assigned.
Monitor and report suspicious activity, security threats, safety hazards, and emergencies.
Enforce site-specific post orders, rules, policies, and procedures.
Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident and daily activity reports.
Respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.
Provide customer service and support to staff, visitors, and clients.
Follow site-specific emergency procedures and company policies.
Complete required training and maintain acceptable attendance.
Perform other security duties as assigned by a supervisor.
