Unarmed Security Officer (Corporate Building)
About The Position
Doyle Security Services (DSS) provides customized security solutions and investigative services, focusing on protecting clients’ people and property. The Unarmed Security Officer observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, helping maintain the security and safety of client property and personnel. The officer makes periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserves order, and may enforce site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. The work requires standing for most of the workday. The schedule is Friday from 2300 to 0700 and Saturday and Sunday from 1500 to 2300. Pay is up to USD $19.06 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to verbally de-escalate situations.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining signatures.
- Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
