Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Requirements

  • Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by state licensing authority
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Tennessee Unarmed License
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Weekend availability
  • Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
  • Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns
  • Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials
  • Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
  • Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents
  • Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)
  • Assist visitors and employees professionally
  • Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
  • Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)
