Officers deter incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement, with responsibilities including patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. The position requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Requirements

Must have or obtain a Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have customer service skills
Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Weekend availability
Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience
2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
Tennessee Unarmed Security License preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns
Monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol
Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents
Perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)
Assist visitors and employees professionally
Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols
Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)
