About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Team Member in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including Tech/Media/Telecom. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using the Claim a Shift platform. You will work as an unarmed Security Officer at a fast-paced tech location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. The role emphasizes being part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that prioritizes people and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
Current CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience using alarm panels is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused corporate location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or permissions when required, and support site protocols for deliveries, after-hours access, and other routine security-related operations.
