About The Position

Doyle Security Services (DSS) is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a driving position in Shoreham, NY. This role involves operating a company vehicle to conduct routine mobile patrols, monitor for suspicious activity, respond promptly to incidents or alarms, and provide a visible security presence to deter potential threats. The officer must maintain accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and local authorities. Adherence to company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures is essential, along with maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED required.
5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
Valid NYS Security Guard License.
Must have a valid driver license.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and reporting activities and incidents at the assigned site to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property.
Conducting mobile patrols and completing scans every thirty minutes.
Maintaining order and enforcing site-specific regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Securing premises by inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Performing tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
