About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer provides professional security services focused on observing, preventing, and reporting. The position is located in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and is scheduled for first shift on Mondays and Tuesdays. The officer monitors assigned areas, patrols the property, maintains reports, follows site procedures, responds to incidents, and provides customer service. Relocation and travel are not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current state-required security registration, license, or permit.
• Successfully complete required background screening and drug/alcohol testing, where applicable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-service skills.
• Ability to remain alert, use good judgment, and work independently.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols and other assigned patrols.
• Maintain daily activity reports and write clear, accurate incident reports.
• Enforce site post orders, policies, procedures, and client regulations.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.
• Provide professional customer service and assist with client requests as needed.
• Communicate incidents and concerns to site and company management.
• Attend required company and site training.
