About The Position

Top Guard Security is hiring unarmed security officers to serve client locations in Suffolk and Windsor. Officers provide security and customer service at local businesses and facilities. The position is full-time, pays $17–$19 per hour, and reports to the Account Manager. Part-time officers may also be eligible for benefits; applicants should inquire for details.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor and meet company customer-service expectations.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service focus.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Have a clear criminal history for the background investigation.
• Be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, up to a full eight-hour shift.
• Be able to endure cold and hot weather for extended periods, up to a full eight-hour shift.
• Occasionally lift or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Speak audibly, clearly, and understandably to communicate information or contact authorities.
• Some weekends and holidays may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Specialized law enforcement, security, and/or military experience or training is preferred; one year or more is required for some contract sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control to facility grounds and buildings.
• Conduct walking and/or mobile patrols of grounds and facilities.
• Inspect vehicles at the gate.
• Record temperature checks and inform the client when readings are out of range.
• Serve as a courtesy officer in facility lobbies.
• Make situational decisions and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
