About The Position
Culpepper & Associates Security Services is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to work at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community-Based Outpatient Clinic located at 55 W Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH. This role involves safeguarding VA property and customers, monitoring the healthcare premises, and protecting staff, members, and visitors. The position also requires providing customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
- Valid State of Ohio Security Guard License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to write basic reports and documentation
Nice To Haves
- Previous security officer, unarmed guard, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
- Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients, and family members.
- Continuous monitoring for signs of unusual activity.
- Reporting any security breaches or illegal activity.
- Conducting routine security checks to prevent theft or damage.
- Responding to fire alarms and other emergencies.
