About The Position
We are seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide evening coverage in a hospital environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, and staff members. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, observant, and skilled in communication and de-escalation. Hospital security requires strong customer service skills combined with the ability to respond confidently during emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor hospital entrances, exits, and designated access points
- Conduct routine patrols of patient care areas, parking lots, and common spaces
- Respond to emergency calls, disturbances, and security alerts
- Assist staff with combative, intoxicated, or emotionally distressed individuals
- De-escalate tense situations using professional communication techniques
- Enforce hospital policies and visitor guidelines
- Complete detailed incident and activity reports
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary
