About The Position
This is a full-time, hourly position for an Unarmed Security Guard. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, with a pay rate of $19.50 per hour. The role involves patrolling various areas, monitoring activity, enforcing policies, submitting reports, coordinating with emergency services, and monitoring surveillance systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to react quickly to a changing environment
- Advanced ability to respond to security breaches and threats
- Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to inform personnel and visitors of security procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
- Possess an ability to be flexible and perform a variety of security duties
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment preferred
- CPR, First Aid, AED, NARCAN, MOAB, or ACT I, II, or III Certifications highly preferred
- Associates degree or greater in Criminal Justice related studies
- Experience in documenting, observations, customer service and security procedures
- Previous concierge experience
Responsibilities
- Patrol indoor and outdoor areas
- Monitor passengers, buses, and general area activity
- Enforce policies (Standard Code of Conduct)
- Submit incident reports within 24 hours
- Coordinate with police and emergency services as needed
- Monitor surveillance systems
