About The Position

Seeking highly skilled, Unarmed Security Officers for positions at the Cleveland VA Fisher House. Officers are expected to carry out all pre-determined and recurring tasks for the protection and safety of the site location and all occupants, maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. Core responsibilities include conflict management and surveillance, while leveraging your premium skills in law enforcement and first aid. You will utilize relevant skills of monitoring and loss prevention to effectively deter and respond to security threats. Strong communication skills will enhance your ability to interact with diverse individuals and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Requirements

• Able to perform with limited or no supervision.
• At least two (2) years' experience in contract or proprietary security and/or Military or Law Enforcement experience.
• Must be a US citizen and at least 21 years old.
• Fluent in English with the ability to read and understand printed regulations, written orders, and instructions.
• Possess excellent written/oral communication skills and be able to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
• Physically and mentally fit and capable of performing all normal emergency security duties and responsibilities.
• Not have a history of substance abuse or domestic violence or any criminal acts.
• Possess a current Ohio unarmed security guard card and a valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a background check, physical exam, and drug/alcohol test.
