About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking Unarmed Security Licensed D Flex Officers for Orlando and Surrounding Areas. This is an on-call position requiring availability for multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, to cover open posts, vacation requests, extra coverage, and call-outs. All candidates must be available 24/7. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Flex officers' hours vary based on their availability to cover shifts. This role is crucial for ensuring continuous security coverage across various client sites.

Requirements

Relevant security background experience of one year or more.
Valid Security D License.
Valid FL Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Clean driving history with no "at fault" accidents within the last three (3) years.
Excellent communication skills, with a courteous and professional manner.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Excellent observational skills.
Experience communicating via two-way radio.
Strong multi-tasking abilities.
Must be available 24/7.
Must be available for multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

If a utility officer cannot fulfill the commitment to cover shifts, this will limit their ability to remain a flex officer.
If a flex officer has less than 40 hours for the week and is called within four (4) hours to start a shift, the flex officer will be required to fill the shift.
Any flex officer that cannot fill a shift within the four (4) hour time frame or cannot fill a complete shift after being offered a shift three (3) times, may be subject to discipline up to and including removal from the flex officer program.
Every attempt will be made to cross-train utility officers so they may work forty (40) hours as much as possible, though there is no guarantee of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Fill in for vacation requests, open posts, extra coverage, or call-outs.
Respond with urgency to calls/texts when contacted to cover shift openings.
Understand that holiday shifts may be required to fill openings for security officers with seniority.
Meet physical essential functions of the job, including lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, and working in inclement weather.
