About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking Unarmed Retail Security Officers to join their team. This is a full-time position with a starting hourly rate of $18.00. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in security or customer service roles. This role involves engaging with the public, responding to calls for service, and working collaboratively with a supportive team and leadership. The position requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, and a current valid Wisconsin Security License. Responsibilities include conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, documenting interactions, communicating information, monitoring for suspicious behavior, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age or older
High school degree or equivalent
Valid state driver’s license
Valid Wisconsin Guard License
Professional demeanor and appearance
Basic computer skills
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Minimum of one year of customer service experience
Minimum of one year of security experience
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
Be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.
Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours.
Must have a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a security officer, security guard, and/or other safety and protection related fields, including customer service roles.

Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
Other duties to be determined by management
