About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking Unarmed Retail Security Officers for a part-time, 2nd shift position (24 hours weekly) with a pay rate of $18.00/hour. We are a nationally recognized Top Workplace dedicated to providing customized security solutions. This role involves engaging with the public, responding to calls for service, and working collaboratively with a supportive team. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, and who possess a current valid Wisconsin Security License. The position requires the ability to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area, up to six hours, and maintain a clean driving record.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Valid Wisconsin Guard License
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience
  • Minimum of one year of security experience
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
  • Able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.
  • Able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a security officer, security guard, and/or other safety and protection related fields, including customer service roles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
  • Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
  • Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
  • Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
  • Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
  • Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
  • Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
  • Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
  • Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
  • Other duties to be determined by management
