About The Position
Performs ultrasound and vascular exams, including related paperwork and explanation of exams. Assists radiologists/physicians with biopsies and specialized exams. Responsible for stocking linens and supplies, cleaning and maintaining rooms/equipment, understanding PACS utilization, and promoting timely workflow. Adheres to OSHA and Infection Control policies. May assist in transporting patients and with clerical duties to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
- High School Required
- Completion of Ultrasound program
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required
- AHA BLS
- Must have the ability to handle ultrasound and vascular equipment and properly position patients.
- Must use good judgment in determining alternate scanning methods when standard imaging is impossible.
- Must have the ability to practice good patient care without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Performs ultrasound exams.

- Stocks linens and supplies as needed.
- Cleans and maintains room/equipment.
- Understands the utilization of PACS.
- Promotes timely workflow.
- Adheres to all OSHA and Infection Control policies.
- Assists in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.
- Assists with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry, etc.).
- Helps insure safe and clean working environment for patients and co-workers.
