Ultrasound/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
About The Position
Franciscan Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and playing a critical role in the diagnostic process. In this role, you will work closely with patients and providers to perform high-quality ultrasound and vascular imaging studies that help guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes. As an Ultrasound/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, you will prepare and position patients for exams, explain procedures to help patients feel informed and comfortable, and perform detailed imaging studies with accuracy and compassion. You will utilize your expertise in sonographic and vascular imaging techniques to evaluate blood flow, vessels, organs, and soft tissue structures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Requirements
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
- Possession of a CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable equipment.
- Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures.
- Operates film processing equipment.
- Maintains computerized records, files, and/or reports. Participates in audits as required.
- Participates in quality control and quality assurance testing.
- Assists the supervising radiologist with administrative functions.
