About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY. This position involves performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, preparing and positioning patients, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing and transferring images, assisting radiologists, maintaining equipment, ensuring exam rooms are stocked, scheduling exams, maintaining documentation, and following safety standards. The role also includes supporting the training of new ultrasound staff.

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required
• Minimum 2 years Ultrasound Technologist experience
• Experience with VU Ultrasound system required
• Prostate sonography experience required
• Associate’s degree or higher in related field
• BLS certification required
• Strong computer and imaging system skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations per clinical protocols
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
• Capture and transfer high-quality images to PACS systems
• Assist radiologists during ultrasound-guided procedures
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready for procedures
• Schedule exams and coordinate patient workflow
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Follow safety and infection control standards
• Support training of new ultrasound staff
