About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with expertise in general and vascular ultrasound to join our team in Charleston, SC. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings from 2 PM to 10 PM, with special consideration for weekend and holiday rotations. The unit environment consists of 330 total beds with an average of 35 patients daily. Staffing consists of ARDMS and RVT certified sonographers available 24/7 when positions are filled. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound, with a strong focus on general and vascular ultrasound techniques.
• Certification as an ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is required.
• In-depth knowledge of ultrasound procedures and protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and vascular ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to para, thoras, thyroid biopsies.
• Provide high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Utilize GE Logic E10 ultrasound equipment effectively.
• Adhere to best practices in documentation using the Meditech system.
• Participate in a rotating schedule, including every other weekend and holidays, in accordance with facility policy.
• Engage with patients using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You) technique to enhance the patient experience.
