About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians’ orders, using a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment and taking into account each patient’s special or age-related needs. Requirements

• Education sufficient to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Board eligible for certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Upon hire, hold an Oregon Sonographer license or Oregon Sonographer Temporary license.
• Upon hire, hold National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Obtain national certification from ARDMS within six months (180 days) of hire.
• New graduates must be board eligible and obtain ARDMS certification within six months of hire.
• New graduates must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• For specified position numbers 612-71875, 612-71877, 612-71878, 612-71882, 612-71883, and 612-71884: two years of OBGYN sonography experience.
