The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing quality ultrasound exams and assisting in the interpretation of these exams. The role requires the performance of abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies. Key duties include assessing patient history and symptoms, assisting staff physicians, adhering to policy and protocol, maintaining equipment, and producing high-quality ultrasound images. The technologist will also prepare written documentation, provide training to students, send images for interpretation, and serve as a liaison between the hospital and clinical training programs. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours a week.
