About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, producing high-quality images for interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner. This role coordinates the day-to-day activity of patient procedures in the assigned area, and is responsible for all required paperwork associated with the diagnostic exam, as well as accurately entering all patient charges.

Requirements

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography and/or Ultrasound program.
  • Registered by the ARDMS or registry eligible.
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program or 12-18 months on the job training or be registered by the ARRT in Radiology with 12-months experience in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
  • Must be educationally prepared and clinically competent to perform ultrasound studies.

  • Advanced education may be required for specific imaging modalities.
