About The Position

We are hiring for an Ultrasound Technologist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK! This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with 8-hour Day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. A $10,000 hiring bonus is available for eligible external hires who meet the required qualifications and conditions for payment. Relocation assistance is also available for eligible hires who meet the required qualifications and conditions for payment. The role involves performing all essential functions of a Registered Sonographer, including performing and evaluating sonographic examinations, obtaining clinical history, performing physical assessments to determine appropriate testing protocols, and providing technical interpretations of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering medical diagnoses.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.

Nice To Haves

• 9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer.
• Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations.
• Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
• Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.
