This role assists patients in preparation for ultrasound exams, provides basic instructions, and transports patients. The Imaging Assistant uses radiology computer systems for scheduling and patient information, organizes and prepares exam rooms, and handles patient greetings and routine requests. They also act as a liaison between physicians and technologists, provide radiology reports and images, and manage health information records. The position involves documenting patient information, communicating observations to the healthcare team, and performing routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment. Additionally, they may assist with screening and documenting MRI implants. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate patient care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
