About The Position

This job is for a casual position to cover at all four Urgency Room locations including Eagan, Woodbury, Vadnais Heights, and Golden Valley. The position involves performing General, OB/GYN and Vascular ultrasound exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care. The technologist will obtain patient history, answer questions, and provide patients with information about the exam or procedure. They will also work with radiologists, referring clinics, and patients to ensure the appropriate exams, films, and medical records are correct and prepared. Ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete is also a key responsibility. The role requires incorporating company values into daily interactions and may include training new employees, stocking/ordering supplies, and assisting in other departments.

Requirements

  • RDMS or RDMS/RT (R) required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of basic sonography principles, procedures, methods and techniques required.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
  • Excellent patient care, problem solving, organizational, communication and technical skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and with all levels of the organization required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Must be competent in using a computer keyboard, email, RIS and PACS or similar applications.

Nice To Haves

  • RDMS (OB), (RVT) registration required within one year of employment.
  • 6-12 months ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Training new employees, stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.
