About The Position

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you'll combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures that directly influence patient outcomes. Working alongside physicians, nurses, and fellow imaging professionals, you'll utilize state-of-the-art technology while providing exceptional care to patients of all ages.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Diagnostic Sonography Program required or Evidence of Medical Diagnostic Sonography training through the United States Military required.
  • ARRT or ARDMS certification required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
  • Demonstrate compassion and professionalism in both routine and emergent situations.
  • Possess strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making while performing examinations.
  • Are comfortable working with advanced imaging software and technology.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of ultrasound experience preferred, but qualified candidates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize independent judgment, technical expertise, and critical thinking to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Assist physicians during interventional and ultrasound-guided procedures.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure imaging excellence.
  • Monitor daily department operations and promptly communicate concerns or issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment.
  • Assist with orientation and training of new staff members and students.
  • Support clerical operations and perform HIS, RIS, and PACS functions as needed.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and help minimize downtime through proactive troubleshooting and care.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
