About The Position

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams that support accurate diagnosis and exceptional patient care. You’ll work closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists while contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of ultrasound sonography
  • Successful completion of the SPI exam
  • Registry-eligible in at least one sonographic specialty at time of hire
  • BLS certification required
  • Competency in abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and interventional ultrasound
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing physical or emotional stress
  • Proficiency with RIS, HIS, and PACS systems

Nice To Haves

  • ARDMS registration in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular strongly preferred
  • Additional compensation may be available for specialty registries.
  • Registration through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular is strongly preferred.
  • Certification in multiple specialties is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 2D and 3D ultrasound imaging of internal organs and structures
  • Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and ensure exam appropriateness
  • Explain procedures and support patients with empathy and professionalism
  • Complete accurate measurements, calculations, and documentation
  • Provide ultrasound guidance for interventional procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Support scheduling needs and help prioritize patient and physician requests
  • Participate in protocol development, quality assurance, and accreditation activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate transfer of images and documentation to PACS
  • Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and skill development for team members
  • Practice safe ergonomics and proper body mechanics
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and respectful work environment
