About The Position

Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians and report preliminary findings to Radiologists. This part-time position is based at the Voorhees Women's Center and is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a Saturday rotation. The role includes patient contact and may require travel to SJRA offices as necessary.

Requirements

RDMS certification in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN.
Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
Proficient computer skills.
Knowledge of infection-control practices.
Knowledge of pathology.
Knowledge of image interpretation.
Knowledge of high-level disinfectant procedures.

Nice To Haves

RVT certification preferred.
Two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

Review patient and personal information, referring physician details, and referral or script for accuracy before performing examinations.
Explain procedures to patients and answer questions about the examination.
Perform high-quality ultrasound studies as ordered by referring physicians.
Review images with radiologists when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
Provide accurate written technical interpretations to radiologists.
Maintain exam rooms, including stocking supplies as needed.
Maintain the work area and equipment quality-control checklist.
Travel to SJRA offices as necessary.
Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
Assist patients on and off examination tables as indicated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
