About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals skilled in diagnostic sonography who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic excellence.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
Credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Registered in both Abdomen and OB/GYN specialties through ARDMS.
Current BLS certification required.
Strong communication and patient care skills.
All certifications and registrations must remain active throughout the assignment.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound wave equipment.
Prepare patients for procedures and explain examinations to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs.
Review patient history, physician requests, and clinical information to support accurate diagnosis.
Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and proper documentation.
Maintain accurate radiology records and ensure all images are properly labeled.
Assist physicians during specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies.
Coordinate workflow efficiently to maintain productivity and timely patient care.
Maintain equipment and assist with supply management and service requests.
Follow all departmental policies, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
