About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The role conducts abdominal, obstetric, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast, testicular, and other small-parts imaging studies, ensuring accurate imaging results and high-quality, compassionate, age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan. The technologist maintains ultrasound equipment, supplies, and work areas to support safe and efficient operations, and works independently and collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff as a resource for ultrasound procedures.

The position is at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina, a full-service, Joint Commission-accredited hospital serving Person County and surrounding areas. The hospital has 98 licensed beds and more than 350 staff members.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology.
• Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to learn advanced ultrasound procedures.

• Diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.
