About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to join their team at the Reston-Herndon Center. This role involves performing high-quality general ultrasound examinations and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The position offers a unique schedule of four 10-hour days, Tuesday through Friday, providing every Monday off for a three-day weekend, with no weekends, evenings, major holidays, or call required. Free on-site parking is available.
Requirements
- RDMS certification required upon hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Breast ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required.
- 1+ year of experience in general ultrasound preferred.
- New graduates in Diagnostic Medical Sonography are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations, including OB (1st trimester), GYN, Abdominal, and Small Parts.
- Consistently acquire and evaluate high-quality images for diagnostic accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding exam findings.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy.
