About The Position
This position has developed the knowledge to perform quality routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, while recognizing patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedure. It is a full-time night shift position, Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am. Imaging professionals at Arkansas Children's may be eligible for up to $36,000 in student loan repayment through Clasp, paid monthly over 36 months.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma
- 2 years of direct experience
- 1 of the following license or registry is required: RDMS, PS - American Registry of Diagnostic Medial Sonography (ARDMS) - Must obtain within 2 years of hire date.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic exams as directed by Radiologist.
- Recognize examination findings that may require immediate clinical response and notifies the interpreting radiologist.
- Troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment.
- Explain procedures to patients and families in an effective manner.
- Knowledge of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Ensure that work area is properly maintained.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
