This position will be Full time 37.5hrs Monday through Friday weekly schedule (8:00AM-4:00PM). Must be flexible with the hours as the hours may vary. This position will also require rotating between our Croton and Cortlandt Manor locations, both in the New York Upper Westchester locations. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical diagnostic sonography, usually obtained by being a graduate of the committee of allied health education and accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program (program length 9 months to two years) or equivalent required.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Analytical skills necessary in order to evaluate and perform diagnostic ultrasound exams.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with patients, patient family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in Breast and general Ultrasound.
- Prior Ultrasound Tech experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of 2 years Breast ultrasound experience.
