About The Position
We are seeking a skilled General Ultrasound Technologist to join a community hospital setting. This role involves performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures for patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to adults.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience
- Community hospital experience required
- ARDMS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active New York state license required (must be in hand at submission)
- Must be willing to take call (every 3rd day after 6 PM and every 3rd weekend)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with biopsies
- Additional certifications such as ARRT (Sonography), RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds), or RVT
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams
- Assist with invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for accurate diagnosis
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
