About The Position

Oak Valley Health is seeking sonographers to join their dynamic team at Uxbridge Hospital. The successful candidate will work with Canon Aplio Ultrasound machines and will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations including general abdomen/pelvis, intracavitary, small parts, routine/high risk obstetrics, vascular (venous and arterial studies), musculoskeletal, and pediatrics. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Radiologists are available for support, discussions, feedback, and continuing education.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Canadian ultrasound program strongly preferred. Other equivalent education will be considered.
  • Current member and in good standing with CMRITO.
  • Sonography Canada credentialed is preferred (must have PLI- professional liability insurance).
  • ARDMS an asset.
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing education to expand current subspecialty skill set.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred coupled with teaching hospital experience.
  • CRVS and/or RVT designations are an asset as are any additional designations.
  • ARDMS (BR), (PS), (RMSKS), NT certification is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.
  • Must be available for days, with rotating evenings as department needs.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Performing ultrasound examinations at the Uxbridge site in the following areas: general abdomen/pelvis, intracavitary, small parts, routine/high risk obstetrics, vascular (venous and arterial studies) and musculoskeletal and pediatrics.

  • Compensation: UOPS 09 Range: $36.84 - $51.77
