About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Breast Imaging) for an exciting Travel or Local job in North Bergen, NJ. This role involves performing routine and complex breast ultrasound examinations, utilizing Doppler techniques, optimizing imaging quality, and assisting physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and interventional procedures. The technologist will also be responsible for evaluating image quality, operating and maintaining equipment, preparing patients, ensuring proper documentation and archiving, and adhering to all relevant protocols and standards.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of breast ultrasound experience required
Active RDMS (ARDMS) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program required
BLS certification required
Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques
Experience with PACS and ultrasound-guided biopsy procedures required
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced breast imaging center

Nice To Haves

5+ years of breast ultrasound experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex breast ultrasound examinations
Utilize Doppler techniques to assess vascularity and tissue structures
Optimize imaging quality using proper gain, depth, focus, and TGC adjustments
Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and interventional procedures
Evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and PACS systems
Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly and professionally
Ensure proper documentation, image archiving, and data management
Follow infection control, safety, and departmental protocols
Support quality assurance and imaging standards compliance
