Breast Ultrasound Technologist
About The Position
New York Breast Health is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and oncology care. With a focus on compassionate patient care, our state-of-the-art facilities provide a range of advanced imaging services, including ultrasound and mammography. As part of a respected Oncology/Hematology group, our practice features a freestanding outpatient Cancer Center operating 7 days a week, offering chemotherapy, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy, and Research services. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent.
- ARDMS (Breast) certification required.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of breast related ultrasound exams, including screening exams, diagnostic exams, and related breast guided procedures, in an outpatient setting.
- Prepare preliminary written impressions and communicate results to radiologists.
- Maintain and document regular equipment maintenance.
- Review and execute current lab protocols and assure emergent tests are expedited.
- Assist doctors with outpatient procedures and biopsies.
- Adhere to all radiology policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
