About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking a full-time, float Breast Ultrasound Technologist to join their compassionate, patient-centered team at their Fairfax Breast Center. This role offers a supportive environment, a weekday-only schedule, and excellent benefits. The technologist will perform clinical breast sonography examinations, use sonographic skills for accurate imaging, acquire high-quality diagnostic images, and evaluate and communicate findings to radiologists. They will also maintain positive interactions with patients and families.
Requirements
- Current RDMS certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of Breast Ultrasound experience preferred
- Breast certification through RDMS highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently perform clinical breast sonography examinations
- Confidently use your sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as needed for accurate anatomical and pathological imaging
- Acquire and maintain consistently high-quality diagnostic images
- Evaluate and communicate breast anatomy and pathology findings to radiologists
- Maintain positive, professional, and caring interactions with patients and families
