Ultrasound Tech, Every Weekend Day Shift, Ultrasound
About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Ultrasound Tech for our Ultrasound Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will be competent in production, use, recognition and analysis of ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis and treatment. You will be knowledgeable in ultrasound physics and instrumentation, normal anatomy and pathological variants. You will deliver excellent patient care and perform ultrasound procedures under the direction of a radiologist, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. You will also maintain actions and attitude that contributes to the critical success factors of the organization.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) as required and/or be ARDMS registered.
- RDMS (OB/GYN required), (AB preferred)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle a multitask environment and work independently
- PC skills such as Windows NT
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- Two years of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer experience preferred
