Performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This role requires flexibility in shifts. If a recent graduate, new hire must obtain Radiologic credentialing within one year of being hired. The position involves reviewing radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging. It requires applying a broad range of skills to ensure exams are completed timely and meet quality and compliance standards. The role also includes providing appropriate Diagnostic Sonographer screening processes to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards, and assisting in the orientation and training of new staff. Additional duties may be assigned beyond the listed responsibilities.
