About The Position

The Ultrasound Supervisor is responsible for the clinical and operational performance of the ultrasound department and ensures that clinical processes are coordinated and functioning effectively, while maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and CMHS policies and procedures. This position provides input for the development of policies and procedures, training and best practices for use within the Ultrasound department and assists in implementing standardization, performance improvement, integration and optimization strategies. The Ultrasound Supervisor works in close conjunction with the Diagnostic Imaging department leadership team to ensure employee competencies, training and other departmental projects are completed in a timely manner and is responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, customer service and quality standards. The Ultrasound Supervisor serves as the primary resource for ultrasound related information throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an ultrasound technologist
  • Five (5) years of experience working in an acute care hospital setting in another role or capacity
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Current registration through ARDMS

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Previous ultrasound management/supervisory experience in a hospital setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish
