About The Position

Under the direction of the designated site leader and according to established policies and procedures, the Ultrasonographer performs accurate and efficient ultrasound examinations using appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The technologist demonstrates sound clinical skills and provides the best possible images for interpretation. The role follows Corewell Health’s Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy at all times.

This is a casual, part-time position at the Care Center in Canton, with variable hours and a variable shift. Scheduled work may fall on any day from Monday through Sunday, with variable weekend frequency.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent; graduate of a Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal experience, which may be gained at the student level.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross upon hire.
• One year of experience required for the applicable listed credentials: ARDMS Sonographer (excluding cardiac); ARDMS Breast Sonographer (excluding cardiac, general, and vascular); ARDMS Abdomen (excluding cardiac and vascular); ARDMS Ob/Gyn (excluding cardiac and vascular); ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS); or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• ARDMS Vascular Technologist (VT) certification is required within one year of hire for the Vascular Department.
