About The Position

This position delivers care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer Process. It involves performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data. The role includes preparing the room for examination, greeting patients, and educating them on procedural information as needed. The Ultrasonographer may also schedule and coordinate tests, process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, and troubleshoot as needed. They will properly record test results, operate, care for, and maintain equipment, and prepare and maintain operational logs and document malfunctions. Maintaining equipment and rooms to sanitary standards, and stocking and ordering supplies are also key responsibilities. This role is for a full-time position at the Women's Care Clinic in Dallas, TX, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree Ultrasound Technology Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology program (required)
  • Completion of the requirements to be certified by RDMS (required)
  • ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire (required)
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 Days Upon Hire (required)
  • 2 years related experience (required)
  • Must have experience doing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms to include the following: Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy, Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile, Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies, Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning, Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
  • Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
  • Be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (preferred)
  • OB/GYN related experience (strongly preferred)
