About The Position

Under the direction of the site designate leader and according to established policies and procedures, performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
• Minimal experience as gained at student level
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC certification Upon Hire
• Sonographer (S) - ARDMS certification (excluding Cardiac) - 1 Year
• Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS certification (excluding Cardiac, General, Vascular) - 1 Year
• Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS certification (excluding Cardiac, Vascular) - 1 Year
• Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS certification (excluding Cardiac, Vascular) - 1 Year
• Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS certification (Cardiac) - 1 Year
• Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - Cardiac - 1 Year
• Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS certification (Within 1 year of hire for Vascular Department)

• Performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.
• Utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
• Demonstrates good clinical skills and provides the best possible images for interpretation.
