About The Position

The Ultrasonographer will deliver care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer Process. This involves performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. The role includes preparing the examination room, greeting and educating patients, and potentially scheduling and coordinating tests. Responsibilities also encompass processing and manipulating images, analyzing image quality, troubleshooting, and properly recording test results. The Ultrasonographer will operate, care for, and maintain equipment, prepare and maintain operational logs, document malfunctions, and ensure equipment and rooms are kept to sanitary standards. Stocking and ordering supplies as needed is also part of the role, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associates Degree Ultrasound Technology
Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology program (required)
Completion of the requirements to be certified by RDMS (required)
ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire (required)
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 Days Upon Hire (required)
2 years related experience (required)
Must have experience doing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms to include the following: Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy, Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile, Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies, Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning, Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
Be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field
Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (preferred)
OB/GYN related experience (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards.
Stocks and orders supplies as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
