About The Position

Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit and obstetrical care.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
• Minimal as gained at student level
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac 1 Year required Or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Within 1 year of hire required for Vascular Department

Responsibilities

• Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
• Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation.
