About The Position

Under the direction of the site designated leader, this role assigns and monitors the work of the Ultra sonographers to optimize quality and efficiency. The lead acts as a resource for ultrasound staff/department. Performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other related duties to ensure department policies and imaging standards are met. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ clinical experience.
  • Ultrasound staff sonographer level preferred.
  • Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Must be registered in at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) at time of hire.
  • Additional registry within 1 year from hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.
